How Last Resort works
Last Resort: Miniature Voyages is a four-week event that launched alongside the Riven Tides update on April 28, 2026. It's a personal progression event — your merits are yours alone, no community contribution involved. Every raid you complete contributes to your merit total.
There are two ways to earn merits. The passive way is in-raid XP, auto-converted at a 100:1 ratio when you extract. The active way is Ship Model trinkets, which spawn as raid loot and from Beachcombing containers. Ship Models give 10 to 250 merits each depending on rarity.
The math: a typical successful raid pulls roughly 2,000–4,000 XP, which converts to 20–40 merits. A single Legendary Leviathan's Crown drop is +250 merits — equivalent to seven productive raids. So farming Ship Models is roughly five to ten times faster than passive XP grinding if you can land high-rarity drops.
The fastest grind: Beachcombing on Riven Tides
The Dockmaster's Detector (earned from Stage 1 of the Avian Alarm Project) unlocks Beachcombing on the Riven Tides Seabed. Equipped, the Detector pings buried containers as you walk the shoreline. These containers have a significantly higher Legendary Ship Model spawn rate than regular raid containers.
Best Beachcombing route: drop in via Seaside Elevator extract, sweep the western shoreline first (lower foot traffic), then push north toward the buoys for buried containers. Aim for 8–10 containers per run. On a good seed you can land a single Legendary plus 2–3 Epics, which adds up to 600+ merits in twenty minutes.
The 21 rewards at a glance
Most rewards are Junior Outfit cosmetic pieces (the event's signature set). The standout non-cosmetic drops are below.
Tier 2 · 300 merits
Brass Faucet (Backpack Trinket)
Tier 4 · 600 merits
Canto I SMG
Tier 6 · 900 merits
50 Raider Tokens
Tier 8 · 1,200 merits
Hose (Backpack Trinket)
Tier 9 · 1,350 merits
50 Raider Tokens
Tier 13 · 1,950 merits
50 Raider Tokens
Tier 16 · 2,400 merits
Hydrologist Backpack
Tier 19 · 2,850 merits
100 Raider Tokens
Should you bother?
Yes if you want the Hydrologist Backpack (Tier 16) or the full Junior Outfit cosmetic set. Tokens are nice but minor (250 over the course of the event). The Canto I SMG is a solid early reward but you can craft it normally.
Skip if you only care about gameplay items — most of the rewards are cosmetics. The realistic full-clear time is 30–60 hours depending on how aggressively you Beachcomb. If you're playing every day anyway, you'll passively hit Tier 10–12 just by raiding.
If you only have a week left and want a specific item: prioritize Beachcombing on Riven Tides for Legendary Ship Models. A focused Beachcombing grinder can clear all 21 rewards in roughly two days of dedicated play.
Frequently Asked Questions
When does the Last Resort: Miniature Voyages event end?
May 25, 2026 at end of day server time. The event launched on April 28 with the Riven Tides update and runs for four weeks.
How many merits do I need to unlock all 21 rewards?
3,150 merits total to claim the final reward (Tier 21: Junior Outfit Mask Accessory Alt). Each tier sits 150 merits apart starting at 150 for Tier 1.
How do I earn merits in Last Resort?
Merits are earned from in-raid XP at a 100:1 conversion (every 100 XP = 1 Merit), plus from Ship Model trinkets looted in raids. Ship Models give 10–250 merits each depending on rarity. The Dockmaster's Detector unlocks Beachcombing containers on Riven Tides, which are the best source of high-rarity Ship Models.
What are the Ship Model variants and where do I find them?
Five variants in ascending rarity: Wind Sprite (Common, 10 merits), Twilight Compass (Uncommon, 50), Velocity (Rare, 100), Sirena Dorata (Epic, 150), and Leviathan's Crown (Legendary, 250). They drop in raids across all maps but Riven Tides Beachcombing has the highest spawn density for high-rarity models. Hotel Panorama Azzurro and the Stacking Yard are particularly hot spots.
How many Raider Tokens does Last Resort give in total?
250 Raider Tokens total, awarded across Tiers 6, 9, 13, and 19 (50 + 50 + 50 + 100). No premium currency is required to participate.
What is Dockmaster's Detector and how does Beachcombing work?
Dockmaster's Detector is a tool earned from Stage 1 of the Avian Alarm Project. Equip it to detect buried Ship Model containers on the Riven Tides Seabed. Beachcombing is the most efficient way to farm high-rarity Ship Models for merit grinding.
Does Last Resort progress also count toward the Avian Alarm community project?
They're separate events that end the same day. Beachcombing for Last Resort can incidentally drop Avian Alarm materials too, but merit progress and Avian Alarm stage donations are tracked independently. Plan to grind both before May 25.
