Stacking Yard, Top of the middle crane

What's Inside

  • Containers with weapons and materials
  • Lv.2 gear piece typically
  • Materials and consumables
  • Proximity to Raider Hatch + Seaside Elevator extracts (low-friction extract chain)

The Run

The Stacking Yard is the eastern industrial half of Riven Tides — shipping containers, gantries, cranes, the smell of diesel. The middle crane has a small operator cabin at the top and that cabin is the room this keycard opens. You won't find a more atmospheric locked room in the game.

Loot itself is mid-tier — fine, not exciting. A weapon, a couple of attachments, some materials, occasionally a gear piece. The real value of this card isn't the loot inside; it's the positioning. The crane sits right next to the Raider Hatch and the Seaside Elevator extract, so you can use the card and then extract within sixty seconds. Great for budget loadout runs where you want a guaranteed exit.

Climbing up exposes you to anyone watching the Stacking Yard. Use the zipline if it's set up — the line runs from the south end and gets you to the cabin level in three seconds. Alternative is the ladders on the south side, which have less line-of-sight but take longer. Don't take the north ladder ever; it's the sniper-bait ladder.

The view from the cabin is incredible — you can see the entire Stacking Yard, both extracts, and partway up the hotel. Some players use the cabin as a sniper perch even without using the card. If you see a glint up there during a raid, it's almost certainly someone watching for movement.

For solo runs, this card is a smart pickup at any time. The clear is fast, the extract is right there, and even mid-raid the cabin itself is usually empty. The risk is the climb, not the room.

Recommended Loadout

Budget loadout fits this card best:

  • Lv.2 weapon
  • Light armor
  • Skip grenades
  • Save your good gear for the hotel run

When to Attempt

Anytime works. The Stacking Yard sees less foot traffic than the hotel, and the cabin itself is rarely contested. If you've been farming the hotel and want a guaranteed extract before timer pressure, this is the card to use late-raid.

Verdict

Underrated. Great for budget runs and guaranteed extracts. Pairs perfectly with Stacking Yard scavenge loops.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Crane House Keycard worth using?

On a budget run, yes — the room is decent and you're already at the extract. On an expensive run, skip it; the climb up is exposed and the loot tier doesn't justify the risk.

Where's the Seaside Elevator extract?

South side of the Stacking Yard, at the water's edge. The crane is the highest point in that area — you can see the elevator from the cabin window.

What's the fastest way to the cabin?

The zipline from the south end. Three seconds and you're there. The south ladder is the backup; avoid the north ladder entirely.
